Pehle, Dosray, Teesray Ashray ki Dua – Ramzan k Ashre ki Dua
Ramadan, the holy month of fasting and devotion, holds a special place in the hearts of Muslims around the world. To make this holy month more manageable, Ramadan is divided into three decades, each consisting of ten days. "Ashra" is an Arabic word that translates to ten, so when we talk about Ashra in Ramadan, we mean a period of ten days. These three decades consist of 30 days of Ramadan.

Dua for the 1st Ashra of Ramadan (1st 10 Days)
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغيثُ
Translation in Urdu:
اے زندہ اور قائم رب! میں تیری رحمت کے حصول کی فریاد کرتا ہوں
Translation in English:
"O the Living, O the Eternal, I seek help in Your grace."
This Dua for the first Ashra reflects the believer's plea for Allah's mercy and is recited by Muslims throughout the initial ten days of Ramadan.
2nd Ashra Dua – The Ashra of Atonement
The second Ashra of Ramadan signifies the act of seeking forgiveness or 'Astaghfaar' from Allah Almighty for all the wrongdoings committed knowingly or unknowingly. This period is a time of reflection and repentance, as Muslims seek to cleanse their souls and seek Allah's forgiveness.
Dua for the 2nd Ashra of Ramadan (11 to 20 Days)
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللہَ رَبِّی مِنْ کُلِّ زَنْبٍ وَّ اَتُوْبُ اِلَیْہِ
Translation in Urdu:
میرے رب! میں اپنے گناہوں کی مغفرت چاہتا ہوں اور تیری جانب پلٹتا (توبہ کرتا) ہوں
Translation in English:
"I seek forgiveness from Allah for all my sins and turn to Him."
During the second Ashra, Muslims reflect on their actions and seek forgiveness for their transgressions, paving the way for a purer heart.
3rd Ashra Dua – The Ashra of Protection
The third Ashra of Ramadan is a time for Muslims to implore Allah Almighty for protection from the eternal fires of "Jahannum." It is a period of seeking refuge and safety, emphasizing the importance of turning to Allah for salvation.
Dua for the 3rd Ashra of Ramadan (Last 10 Days)
Allahumma Ajirni Minan Nar
Translation:
اے اللہ! مجھے آگ کے عذاب سے بچا لے۔
In the last ten days of Ramadan, Muslims recite this Dua to seek Allah's protection from the torment of the Hellfire.
